The Blacksburg Farmers Market continues their regular farmers market with live music from The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs on Saturday, July 4, 2026 at Market Square Park.
The Blacksburg Farmers Market offers local meats, organic produce, baked goods, crafts, flowers and more in the heart of downtown Blacksburg! Support your local farmers and artists and enjoy the benefits of a strengthened community, healthy living, and support for responsible business practices.
The market will be open during regular hours for July 4th. Make sure you dress in red, white, & blue, and stop by our Information Booth on the lawn to get a free mini American Flag while supplies last!
The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs will perform music from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs are a folk(ish)/Americana group hailing from Winston-Salem, NC. Comprised of Zack and Kendra Harding. The band often collaborates with other musicians including Ryan Packett, Wayne Redden (Log Noggins), and Trevor Walker (Wintervals). Their influences range from Neil Young to Regina Spektor. Blending their unique musical sensibilities, the band seeks to craft an entertaining experience that has a little something for everyone.

The Blacksburg Farmers Market is open every Saturday April through October from 8:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Market Square Park in downtown Blacksburg, VA. The Wednesday Market is open from April through November from 2:00-6:00 PM. From November-December, the Saturday hours change to 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM. From January-March, the Saturday hours change to 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.
Market Square Park is located at 100 Draper Road in Blacksburg, VA.
