Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg’s 2026 Summer Arts Festival proudly presents Music Road Co in concert on the Henderson Lawn in downtown Blacksburg, VA on Friday, July 10, 2026.

Music Road Company is a Floyd, VA based band that plays a great music featuring elements of rock, funk, island reggae, afrobeat, Latin tunes and fun for your dancing and listening pleasure designed to groove and move you. Featuring members of both Spoon Fight and the Color J and more, Music Road Co brings together a collective of accomplished musicians to create original music and select covers with a fusion of genres.

Coming from such diverse places as South Africa, Ecuador, Key West, Maryland and Virginia, the band brings many cultural influences together to produce music without boundaries. Moving fluidly from funk to reggae, rock to afrobeat, their sound bounces from blues and soul to island dance and back again, bound together by one common ideal: Music should feel good and spread positive vibes. They get on stage to lift themselves up to a higher frequency and they won’t stop until they bring the entire audience with them

Music Road Company is a cooperative of common creative companions conspiring to command your cognitive locomotion. This powerhouse band digs through a wide and deep catalog of tunes and musical traditions to get you groovin’ and your hip bones movin'!

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Bring chairs or a blanket, a picnic, and settle in for an evening of live music.

In the event of inclement weather, this event will be canceled.

Friday Night Outdoor Concerts on Henderson Lawn are presented by Virginia Tech and the Town of Blacksburg as part of the 2026 Summer Arts Festival.

The lawn surrounds Henderson Hall, which houses the School of Performing Arts, on the Virginia Tech campus and is across from The Lyric in downtown
