Virginia Tech Industrial Design and the Institute for Creativity, Arts, and Technology at Virginia Tech (ICAT) presents the ToySphere Exhibition starting on Saturday, May 3, 2025 through Monday, May 5, 2025 inside The Cube within the Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech.

Exhibition Schedule:
• Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Sunday, May 4th from 12:00-5:00 PM
• Monday, May 5th from 2:00-5:00 PM

Join us at the ToySphere Exhibition at the Moss Arts Center for a one-of-a-kind interactive experience!

ToySphere is a fun and interactive exhibition where children's old toys come to life in virtual worlds, helping families imagine new ways to share, play and care for our planet. ToySphere is an ICAT research project.

This exhibition is part of a Virginia Tech research project exploring how creating digital replicas of toys can encourage sustainable behaviors like donating toys that are no longer used, but hard to part with due to emotional attachment.

What’s at the exhibition?
• A play booth where kids can interact with 3D-scanned toys and hear their stories in the virtual world.
• An immersive video experience showcasing digital toys in a virtual world.
• A 3D scanning booth: Bring an unused toy and have it scanned into a digital replica.

Perfect for families and kids of all ages and completely free to attend.

The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech is located at 330 Turner Street NW in Blacksburg, VA.
