Description: The 2016 Summer Arts Festival kicks off their Friday Night Out Concert Series featuring Domino on Friday, June 3, 2016 on the Henderson Lawn.

UPDATE: The concert has been moved inside to Squire's Commonwealth Ballroom due to the high threat of rain.

The Domino Band is a high-energy horn band based in Roanoke, Virginia, specializing in classic R&B, Soul, and Old-School Funk! The Domino Band is all about preserving the classic soul, R&B, and funk sounds of yesterday, updated with their own flavors of today. If you enjoy Al Green, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Kool and the Gang, and other R&B-influenced artists of the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s and today, you'll love The Domino Band.

Domino has backed the legendary Percy Sledge and opened for Delbert McClinton, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees The Impressions, and country music superstars Tracy Byrd, Trace Adkins, Trick Pony, Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence, and Blake Shelton.

Domino members have performed or recorded with The Stylistics, Sister Sledge, the Temptations, members of Tower of Power, Chicago, the Doobie Brothers, Santana, The Headhunters and more.

In case of rain, the concert will be moved inside to the Old Dominion Ballroom located at the Squires Student Center. Rain announcement will be made at the link below.

With the joint efforts of Virginia Tech's School of Performing Arts and the Town of Blacksburg, the 2015 Summer Arts Festival's features live music, art exhibits, live theatre events, classic movies and summer festivals in downtown Blacksburg. This summer marks the 25th year of this cultural and entertaining festival for the Virginia Tech Campus and the New River Valley. Admission to all events is free.

Henderson Lawn is located at the corner of Main Street and College Avenue in downtown Blacksburg, VA.
