Biography:
The Blacksburg Contra Dance was founded in January 2003 to promote contra dancing and other types of folk dancing in and around Blacksburg, Virginia.
Contra dancing is social interaction, meeting people, and making new friends, set to music. A caller, usually working with a group of live musicians, guides new and experienced dancers alike through a variety of dances.
Dances are generally held on the third Saturday of each month.
