Blacksburg Community Band presents their Summer Concert on Sunday, May 17, 2026 inside Blacksburg High School Auditorium.

Join us for our Summer Concert with conductor James Bean and associate conductor Dean Chiapetto.

As always, admission is free (donations accepted) and there will be a reception afterwards in the lobby with sweets, so many sweets, snacks and drinks.

The Blacksburg Community Band, Inc. is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit community organization formed in 1989 under the auspices of the Department of Parks and Recreation in the Town of Blacksburg, Virginia.

The ensemble is open to individuals of all ages and ability levels from the New River Valley and surrounding areas and performs in an average of 20 concerts each year throughout the New River Valley. The band was incorporated in Virginia as a non-profit corporation in 2007.
