Eastern Divide Brewing hosts the annual event "Books at the Brewery" on Sunday, April 19, 2026.
This annual event, sponsored by Virginia Tech’s Center for Humanities, celebrates and promotes the work of Virginia Tech colleagues who author books on humanities topics. Enjoy drinks, good eats, and mingle with our Humanities authors, to hear more about their recent publications.
This year we’ll toast more than 15 faculty authors, with books such as “Bad Nature: How Rat Control Shapes Human and Nonhuman Worlds”; “Interlingual Relations: Global Politics in a Polyglot World”; “Seeking Justice: The Extraordinary Freedom Suits of an Enslaved Virginia Family”; and more.
Attendees will be able to meet authors, discuss their work, and toast their accomplishments. Refreshments will be provided.
"Books at the Brewery" is free and open to the public.
