The Blacksburg Library and the New River Valley Master Gardener Association presents the program "Gardening in Winter: Sowing Native, Local Seeds in Recycled Milk Jugs" on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at the Blacksburg Library.

Don't wait until spring to get gardening! Join us for a short presentation on seed sowing in winter, followed by a hands-on demonstration where participants will take home two milk jugs planted with local, native seeds to get your garden started!

Participation is limited to 40 people.

Note: The program was originally scheduled for Saturday, February 7th, but had to be postponed due to inclement weather.

The Blacksburg Library is located at 200 Miller Street in Blacksburg, VA.
