Watch the Virginia Tech Football team open their 2025 home regular football season and compete against non-conference and SEC opponent Vanderbilt University on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at Lane Stadium.

Game Day Schedule:
• 4:00-6:45 PM: Hokie Village Fan Festival
• 5:00 PM: Hokie Walk on Beamer Way
• 5:30 PM: Gates Open
• 6:00 PM: March to Victory with bands & cheerleaders starting in Chicken Hill
• 7:30 PM: Kick-Off

This game serves as the 2025 home opener and the official Maroon Effect game. All Hokie fans are encouraged to wear maroon. The game will be broadcast on the ACC Network. In collaboration with the Corps of Cadets, Virginia Tech Football will feature a U.S. Navy flyover featuring F/A-18 Fighter Jets after the conclusion of the national anthem (weather permitting).

In efforts to improve the flow and speed of transactions on all concourses of Lane, Virginia Tech Athletics introduces all cashless concessions for the first time.

The Hokie Village Fan Festival will be open before the game from 4:00-6:45 PM. Fans can enjoy food trucks and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) all season long, with some additional options available in the circle drive on the West Side of Cassell Coliseum.
