The First Church of God is hosting a Neurodiverse Community Day on August 23, 2025.

Enjoy a safe and non-threatening environment to meet and interact with some of our local first responders. Local first responders will share what they do and to give you a chance to ask questions you may have and provide an opportunity to more closely familiarize yourself with their equipment (vehicle, uniform, etc.).

All planning is done with our neurodiverse friends in mind. We will also have a Fun Station with various activities (craft, short video, sidewalk chalk, games) and a Quiet Zone indoors if you need a calming space.

There will be four stations:
• Police
• Fire
• EMT
• Fun activity.

Interactions will begin at 10:00 AM, 10:30 AM, 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM. Lights and sirens will be used only at 11:45 AM.

A quiet room will be available indoors.

All ages are welcome.

The event is rain or shine.

First Church of God Christiansburg is located at 650 Canaan Road in Christiansburg, VA.
