2025 Montgomery County Race for ACCE 5k and Children's Fun Run

The Montgomery County ACCE (Access to Community Education) program presents the 7th Annual Race for ACCE 5k and Kids Fun Run on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Blacksburg High School's Cross Country Track.

Event Schedule:
• 9:00 AM: 5k Run/Walk
• 9:30 AM: Kids Fun Run
• ~10:30 AM: Awards Ceremony to Follow

The 5k Run/Walk will take place on the Blacksburg Cross Country Track starting at 9:00 AM and the Kids Fun Run will take place on the high school track starting at 9:30 AM. The awards ceremony will follow the conclusion of the 5k.

All proceeds benefit the Montgomery County ACCE (Access to Community Education) program for Montgomery County High School graduates and home-schooled graduates with a 2.5 GPA or higher and willingness to provide 80 hours of annual community service to attend New River Community College.

5k registration includes a race t-shirt. Those who register by July 8th will have their t-shirt by race weekend. All fun run participants will be awarded finisher ribbons. There will also be door prizes.

Registration is $25.00 for individuals. There is also a family discount for three or more runners of $60.00. And, the Children's Fun Run is $10.00.

Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female finishers and awards for the top three runners in each age group.

Blacksburg High School is located at 3401 Bruin Lane in Blacksburg, VA.
