The Polo Club at Virginia Tech presents the Annual Mercedes Cup featuring a polo match with Virginia Tech hosting the University of Virginia on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at the Alphin-Stuart Livestock Arena on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Event Schedule:
• 12:00 PM: Doors Open
• 12:00-1:00 PM: Food, Drink, Silent Auction
• 1:00 PM: First Chukker Begins
• ~1:30-2:30 PM: Halftime with Meet the Ponies, Barrel Horse, Foot Mallet Practice
• 2:30 PM: Second Chukker Begins
• ~3:15 PM: Awards
Join us for a day of polo and learn more about this amazing sport! The Mercedes Cup will feature a game between The Polo Club at Virginia Tech and the University of Virginia Polo Club starting at 1:00 PM. It’s a fun rivalry match each year, and we love to host the Hoos for this event!
There will also be food, drink, a silent auction with items from local businesses and more!
Attendees will have the opportunity to meet the ponies and try hitting a polo ball with foot mallets on a barrel horse.
Admission is $5.00 per person at the door and all are welcome.
All profits goes towards care for the Club's horses and the equipment to play.
Put on your Sunday best and watch the sport of kings unfold at Alphin-Stuart Livestock Arena!
