The Blacksburg Partnership presents the Kick-Off on College Ave on Friday, September 6, 2024 in downtown Blacksburg, VA along College Avenue and Draper Road.

Kick off the 2024 home football season on Friday night in Downtown Blacksburg! Check out the new Metallica merchandise pop-up shop, information & giveaways from Downtown Blacksburg, Inc, the Moss Arts Center and Virginia Tech Athletics, enjoy the Moss Arts Center's free concert by Plena Libre, stop by the beer garden on Draper Road including the new Hardywood Fightin' Hokies Orange Wheat, find the HokieBird for a photo, stop in the Lyric to relive highlights from the 1999 season, Coca-Cola Slushy Truck, light show, enjoy lawn games and more!

Drop by The Lyric from 5:00-6:30 PM for some replays and memories of the 1999 Virginia Tech football team and some terrific Hokie football! The video footage will be on loop, so you don't have to stay the whole time, just drop in for a few minutes to enjoy the memories!

Try Homestead Creamery's Virginia Tech ice cream flavors. Stop by the Virginia Tech Food Science & Technology booth and pick up a coupon for a free 4oz scoop, redeemable on Friday, September 6th only at Sugar Magnolia while supplies last.

At 8:30 PM, enjoy Coffeeholics Mural light show and special effects featuring Downtown Blacksburg's newest mural.
