Little River Bluegrass Barn presents a Veterans Bluegrass Concert featuring Lonesome Heart benefitting local Veteran food insecurity charity Vittles for Vets on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at the Little River Bluegrass Barn.

Lonesome Heart is a bluegrass band based out of Southwest Virginia playing original and new traditional music.

Admission is $15.00 per person.

All proceeds from the event will support the impoverished veterans enrolled in the Vittles for Vets program.

Vittles for Vets was founded in December 2014 by veterans for veterans. It's sole purpose is to distribute gift food cards on a weekly basis in the amount of $50.00 to qualifying veterans.

To qualify a veteran must have been discharged from the military with a discharge other than dishonorable, must be drug free and not dependent on alcohol and must be at or below the Federal poverty level. The card must be used for the purchase of wholesome, nutritious food products only.

Big Daddy's BBQ will be selling their great food and coffee.

There will also be a Poker Run starting from CVS Hillsville and will end at the Little River Bluegrass Barn. All cars are welcome. The cost to participate is $15.00 per vehicle and includes concert admission. For more information or to RSVP to the Poker Run, call or text 276-235-3775.
