FIRST Chesapeake District presents a Three-Day FIRST Robotics Competition starting on Friday, March 1, 2024 through Sunday, March 3, 2023 at Blacksburg High School.

Tournament Schedule:
• Friday, March 1st from 6:00-8:00 PM
• Saturday, March 2nd from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
• Sunday, March 3rd from 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Watch STEM on an epic playing field! FIRST Robotics Competition is qualifying tournament for a high school level teams from Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C. Under strict rules and limited time and resources, teams are challenged to build industrial-size robots to play a difficult field game in alliance with other teams, while also fundraising to meet their goals, designing a team "brand" and advancing respect and appreciation for STEM within the local community.

Spectators are welcome and admission is free.

Volunteers are also needed for the tournament. This local events requires over 120 volunteers each day. Regardless if you have technical or non-technical expertise, there is a volunteer role for you. Each volunteer will receive a FIRST FRC volunteer shirt and a name badge. To show appreciation, breakfast, lunch, snacks and a couple dinners will be provided.
