Blacksburg Library presents an Author Event with Daniel Thorp on Wednesday, April 13, 2022.

Join us as Virginia Tech Associate Professor of History, Daniel Thorp, discusses his new book, "In the True Blue’s Wake: Slavery and Freedom among the Families of Smithfield Plantation", which tells the story of the people who were enslaved at Smithfield Plantation between 1774 and 1865.

This event is free and open to all.

Books will be available for purchase and signing after the talk.
