Wilderness Road Regional Museum presents their 2020 Founder's Day Feast Swiss Heritage Dinner on Sunday, March 1, 2020 starting at 4:30 pm inside the historic 1818 German Barn.
Join the museum for a special Swiss Heritage Dinner celebrating the Swiss Heritage of Newbern which was settled by many Swissers and early German families of the New River Valley including Newbern founder Adam Hance. Newbern, Virginia was officially founded on March 3, 1810.
To honor that heritage a four course catered Founder's Day Feast will take place in the 1818 German Barn at the museum. • Bunder Gerstensuppe (Barley Soup)
• Alpermagronen (Hearty Alpine Mac & Cheese with Applesauce)
• Swiss Berner Plate (Brats and Kraut)
• Zopf (Braided Yeast Loaf)
• Sweet Hazelnut Vermicelli (Chocolate Noodles, Cream and Berries)
• Served with Swiss Wine
