Radford Reads and Radford University present An Afternoon with Children's Author & Illustrator Henry Cole on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at the Bonnie Auditorium on the campus of Radford University.
Children's author and illustrator Henry Cole will speak about his work. The goal of this event, featuring presentations at Radford University, Radford Public Library, and Radford City Schools, is to promote literacy throughout the City of Radford.
Henry Cole is a Virginia native, raised on a farm near Purcellville, Virginia, who now lives in Florida and taught elementary science for 16 years. In his class, he often used art and humor to illustrate concepts to his students, but eventually decided to share his talent with a wider audience. He has illustrated over 80 popular picture books and authored more than 15 children’s books, including "A Nest for Celeste", "Eddie the Bully", "Spot, the Cat" and "On Meadowview Street" among others.

Admission is free and open to the public.
