Description:
The Indian Students Association at Virginia Tech (ISA) presents Rang Barse - Holi Color War 2019 on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Virginia Tech Duck Pond Field.
Holi is one of India's most colorful festivals, and is sometimes called the 'Festival of Love', since on this day, people come together to forget all their resentments and douse themselves in a feeling of positivity. During Holi, the spreading of colored powder symbolizes the spreading of joy!
ISA will continue this beautiful tradition and host our very own Holi celebration at Virginia Tech! We will have music and dance, as well as lots of colored powder for people to enjoy! (imagine a 'color war').
Don't be taken aback if someone comes to you and applies powder to your cheeks - they do it with love!
Admission is free and all are welcome at the Holi celebration which will take place after the Aruna 5k Run. For more information on the Aruna 5k Run, visit: http://www.nextthreedays.com/FeaturedEventDetails.cfm?E=502763.
Make sure to bring lots of water and hydrate.
