Description:
The Christiansburg Department of Parks and Recreation and Christiansburg High Cross Country present the 2017 Huckleberry Hustle 5K titled "Getting Scary on the Huckleberry" on Saturday, October 28, 2017 starting and ending at the Christiansburg Recreation Center.
Schedule:
• 7:30-8:30 am: Day of Race Registration
• 9:00 am: 5K starts
The race will begin on Cambria Street next to the Rec Center and follow the street until it intersects with the Huckleberry Trail. Participants will then make a right turn to follow the Huckleberry Trail behind the Spradlin Farms Shopping Center and Wal-Mart. They will then cross the Renva W. Knowles Bridge and follow the trail below the New River Valley Mall parking lot. They will make a right-hand turn to run up the hill toward the NRV Mall Parking lot, run through the back parking lot (next to the guard rail) and reconnect with the Huckleberry Trail. Once back on the trail, they will run back over the Renva W. Knowles Bridge, behind the Spradlin Farms Shopping Center and Wal-Mart, and back to the Christiansburg Recreation Center. There will be police monitoring traffic along the 5K course.

Registration is $20.00 if purchased by October 16, 2017. After and on race day, the registration is $25.00.
Multiple awards and medals will be given out including age group and gender awards, top male and female finishers and Most Creative Adult and Teenager Costume. The Awards Ceremony will follow as soon as possible after the 5K.
Race participants will receive free breakfast refreshments.
Costumes are encouraged.
No animals are permitted. Strollers (baby jogger, etc.) need to start at the back.
