Ever wondered what it would be like to renovate your home or yard to be more environmentally sustainable and resilient?

In this presentation, Master Gardener and Construction Professor Annie Pearce will talk about the challenges and rewards of choosing to live green in the New River Valley, including green home and landscape choices, innovative infrastructure systems such as geothermal heating and cooling, photovoltaics, and rainwater harvesting, and location and transportation choices. Her stories of her own experiences will include lessons learned the hard way, do’s and don’ts, and plans for future improvements. Join us to get ideas for your own home, and bring your questions about green building!
