The Blacksburg Farmers Market presents their Mingle at the Market 2016 Kickoff featuring music from Welcome to Hoonah on Wednesday, June 8, 2016.

The first Mingle of 2016 is going to be a good time. Featuring local beer and wine, an amazing band and of course all of your favorite market offerings!

Winner of FloydFest 2015's "BAND ON FIRE" competition, Welcome To Hoonah is a fusion of current folk, Americana and indie music, 60's rock and country, with definitive front porch flavor and a touch of urban verve.

The songwriting and vocal team, Spencer McKenna and Jessica Larsen, have eclectic musical tastes that are reflected in the variety of their originals and choice of accompanying musicians. Best described as "indie-country rock", Welcome to Hoonah's songs are earnest and cover the experiential span, from hopeful to lovelorn, sweet lazy days and long wild nights; their writing and instrumentation dare you not to dance and hum along.
