Dogtown Roadhouse welcomes Sound Wave with openers Spoon Fight to the stage on Saturday, April 25th.

Formed in April of 2014, Sound Wave is a force made of a unique blend of musicians from the Appalachian Mountains of Virginia and the city of Atlanta, Georgia, dedicated with the moxie of a trophy hunter who's one shot determines weather or not he gets eaten. The band has a city groove with rural grit! We like to make people dance within the era of today's electronic dance music.

If we have to categorize our sound with any particular band, it would be on the same rack as John Mayer, Foster the People, and Michael Franti & Spearhead. Two new generation musicians mixed with a well seasoned funk & hip hop rhythm section creates the intellectual musical appreciation that we all love along with the latest influences of the world's latest musical progressions.

Spoon Fight is an alternative rock band with roots that dig into Blues. Hailing from Floyd County, Virginia, the trio formed in 2009.

Intriguing lyrics and melodic, blues-heavy guitar solos are a hallmark of Spoon Fight’s music. Their fresh, dynamic sound is the result of three long-time friends (two of whom are brothers) playing together since they first picked up their instruments years ago.

Luke, Jake, and Isaac love to entertain guests at their performances with enjoyable, energizing music. The band is driven by a desire to connect positively with crowds and end shows with a good note.

Spoon Fight has performed at the New River Brewfest, Blacksburg’s Steppin’ Out, and live on Roanoke's WSLS Channel 10 Daytime Blue Ridge.
