The Indian Students’ Association at Virginia Tech (VT-ISA) will be celebrating Diwali on November 16th, 2012 in Burruss Auditorium. It is that time of the year, when we get together to celebrate Deepawali – Diwali, a festival of lights, hope and happiness all around!
Diwali, being one of the biggest festivals celebrated in India, the ISA- VT looks to organize an event where families and friends get together for a cultural celebration and to share the feeling of prosperity amongst all. Getting ready for the Diwali evening, we plan to fill the Burruss Auditorium with the beats of Indian music and dance, lit up the skies with fireworks, and conclude the event with mouth-watering, authentic Indian food from Taaza!
Schedule:
5:00-7:30 pm - Cultural Show in Burruss Auditorium
7:30-8:00 pm - Fireworks on the Drillfield
Note: There will also be a dinner featuring mouth-watering, authentic Indian food from Taaza that will be served in the Commonwealth Ballroom starting at 8 pm. Tickets are limited and are available for $15.
