The Radford University Department of Health and Human Performance presents Peak+ Program for Kids & Families on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at Peter's Hall on the campus of Radford University.
The PEAK+ Program stands for Physical Exercise & Activity for Kids and parents, too!
Children aged 5-12 along with their parents/guardians are invited to join in the fun! Children will get to opportunities use the indoor climbing / bouldering wall and participate in activities led by Radford University students studying to become Physical Education teachers.
Parent/guardian stations and activities will also be available, led by students and faculty from the Department of Health and Human Performance.
What’s Included for the kids: (activities could include, among others)
• Indoor play with group games, team challenges, fun & fitness activities
• Indoor climbing (bouldering) wall
• Physical climbing activities (led by) university physical education students
• Physical activities led by university physical education students
What’s Included for the parents/guardians: (activities could include, among others)
• Blood pressure screenings and education in our exercise physiology lab
• An orientation and opportunity to learn about appropriate resistance training in our fitness lab
• Body composition measurement and education in our body composition lab
• Healthy Meals & Snacks for Busy Days including recipe ideas & tastings in our nutrition lab
• Fitness walks outside (weather permitting) around campus and down at the Dedmon Center trails
• Injury prevention/rehabilitation and education in our athletic training lab
A $10.00 registration fee covers the whole family and can be paid upon arrival.
