Description:
The June Bug Center hosts Auditions for the play "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" on Saturday, February 21, 2026.
Based on the books of Robert Fulghum, "All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten" takes a funny, insightful and heartwarming look at what is profound in everyday life. An evening of theatrical story-telling in a revue format, this show includes pieces such as: the little boy who wants to play the pig in Cinderella, the man who is able to fly in his lawn chair, and the modern day philosopher who finds the meaning of life in a piece of broken mirror. It’s sure to be an evening of fun with something for everyone.
Looking for actors ages 18 & up for this show about how the lessons you learn in childhood are forever relevant.
You may choose to prepare a 60-second monologue, or a personal story about a time in your life when a childhood lesson helped you in your adult life. You may be asked to cold read part of a scene/monologue during your audition.
Rehearsals will be Mondays and Wednesdays 6:30-9:00 PM at the Junebug Center beginning March 8th. Tech week and performance dates will be in mid-May.
You only need to attend one audition date. There will be no callbacks. You may leave after your audition. Please contact the director, Finn Sparger, at finnsparg@gmail.com with any questions.
The June Bug Center is located at 251 Parkway Lane South in Floyd, VA.
