Blacksburg Ballet presents their annual performance of "The Nutcracker Ballet" with performances on Thursday, December 11, 2025 and Friday, December 12, 2025 at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech.

“The Nutcracker” ballet is a beloved holiday tradition for the entire family, capturing your imagination and transporting you to a magical world of toy soldiers and dancing snowflakes. The audience follows Clara on her journey as she meets colorful characters in the Land of the Sweets, from the captivating Sugar Plum Fairy to Mother Ginger's mischevious Bon Bon Children. This iconic classical ballet enthralls audiences of all ages.
The Blacksburg Ballet's production features over 200 local schoolchildren, college students, professors, business leaders, and family members taking the stage with featured guest artists from Los Angeles. Our show includes a few modern twists and, of course, a Hokie surprise!
Tickets are $30.00 for adults and $15.00 for children.
