Description:
Warm Hearth Village kicks off their Fabulous Fridays Concerts with Music from Bobby Parker on Friday, May 19, 2023 on the patio at the Warm Hearth Village Center.
Join us for music from contemporary folk musician Bobby Parker along with delicious food and a cash bar with cocktails available for purchase.
Bobby Parker is a folk, soul, pop and blues singer and 6- and 12-string guitarist with a broad spectrum of influences ranging from Lead Belly to Bob Dylan to Cat Stevens, the Dead/Feat/Band catalog, both Elvises (Presley and Costello), Hank Williams, Sr., the Drive-By Truckers and Talking Heads.
He's traveled widely and studied at the feet of many musical masters, at clubs and concerts, on sunny back porch afternoons, moonlit riverbanks, late nights in dorm rooms and living rooms and anywhere a coffee cup or a campfire can be found.
These days he lives in Blacksburg and is a regular on the regional scene, having performed at FloydFest, countless New River Valley venues and beyond, as a solo performer, with the country blues duo Attic Static and funky folk trio Hot Diggity Dog.
