The Moss Arts Center at Virginia Tech presents an Opening Art Reception for Laurie Anderson's "Invented Instruments" on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

Laurie Anderson's "Invented Instruments" features a selection of the artist’s invented musical instruments and unusual musical scores developed over a quarter-century as key creative tools in the artist’s much-heralded career. An interdisciplinary icon of our time, Laurie Anderson is internationally acclaimed for pushing the boundaries of pop and avant-garde music as well as performance art. Curated by Kevin Concannon, Ph.D., art historian and director of Virginia Tech’s School of Visual Arts.

There will be an informal gallery talk by Kevin Concannon, director of the School of Visual Arts and curator of "Laurie Anderson: Invented Instruments", will give brief remarks starting at 6:00 pm inside the Ruth C. Horton Gallery.

Admission is free.

A cash bar will be available.
