The Blacksburg Partnership and The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center announce the 3rd annual Blacksburg Brew Do Beer Dinner to be held Friday, September 13 in Preston’s Restaurant.

Grab your brew-loving crew for this entertaining social event and bond over your love of quality beer. Preston’s Chef Jason Smith’s specially crafted menu will match the tastes of the season to a variety of independent craft brews. Experts from Virginia’s own Starr Hill, Devils Backbone, and Legend Breweries will speak at the dinner – this is your chance to learn from the pros about brewing techniques and trends, as well as how to perfectly match food with beer. This dinner will feature unique and hard-to-find beers and styles that will not be available to sample at Blacksburg Brew Do held the following day at the First & Main Shopping District.

“Our Beer Dinners gain popularity each year, and Preston’s does a wonderful job of presenting a delicious meal paired perfectly with some really incredible brews,” said Blacksburg Partnership President Diane Akers. “We look forward to these interactive dinners before each of our festivals and are very excited for what’s in store this year.”

The multi-course menu for the evening includes:

First, Butler Passed:
- Molasses Smoked Trout on Sharp Cheddar Crostini, Beer Pickled Onion and Pear Relish, Crispy Asian Barbeque Smoked Chicken and Green Onion Egg Roll
- Devils Backbone Gold Leaf Lager, Starr Hill Smoke Out

Second:
- Watercress Salad, Caramelized Citrus, Blueberries, Goat Cheese, Chicory Candied Almonds
- Legend Hefeweizen

Third:
- Grilled Shrimp in Spicy I.P.A Butter, Roasted Grape Tomatoes, Fresh Herbs, Grilled Polenta
- Victory “Hop Devil” I.P.A

Fourth:
- House Made Soft Pretzel with Oktoberfest Beer Cheese Dip
- Devils Backbone Oktoberfest

Fifth:
- Chunky Smoked Pork and Pumpkin Chili
- Boxcar Pumpkin Porter

Sixth:
- Irish Car Bomb Cheesecake
- Lancaster Milk Stout
