Description:
The Mountain Lake Conservancy presents the 1st Annual Mountain Top Trot Trail Run featuring 10 mile and 5K races.

Savor the magical fall foliage and cool mountain-top temperatures of Salt Pond Mountain. This is also a fundraiser event to benefit the Mountain Lake Conservancy, a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to immersing you in nature, where you belong.

The course is located on the Mountain Lake Conservancy Trail system in Pembroke, VA. Both the 5K and 10-mile race course will encounter forested trail terrain varying from gravel to rocky and a climb to one of Mountain Lake's scenic vistas.

Racers will receive post-race meal and refreshments, adrenaline delights and prizes awarded to the fast overall and in age groups for both male and female racers. Race t-shirts are available, but are only guaranteed to racers registered by September 16th.

Pre-registration ends September 28th. The races are limited to the first 200 registrants.

Day of race registration is from 7:30-9:30 am. The 10 Mile Race starts at 10 am and the 5k starts at 10:30 am.
