Description: UPDATE: Due to the expected inclement weather, tonight's concert has been moved indoors to the Old Dominion Ballroom inside the Squires Student Center at Virginia Tech instead of the Henderson Lawn.

The 2017 Summer Arts Festival continues their 2017 Friday Night Out Concert Series featuring Hoppie Vaughan and the Ministers of Soul on Friday, July 14, 2017 inside the Old Dominion Ballroom inside Virginia Tech's Squires Student Center.

The diversely talented Hoppie Vaughan is all about the soul! He is a blue eyed soul singer, song writer, guitar and bass player. Besides performing solo, he is the front man for Hoppie Vaughan and the Ministers of Soul based out of Roanoke, VA performing classic soul, R&B, blues and funk.

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, and families for a warm summer evening of music. All are welcome!

With the joint efforts of Virginia Tech's School of Performing Arts and the Town of Blacksburg, the 2017 Summer Arts Festival's features live music, art exhibits, live theatre events, classic movies and summer festivals in downtown Blacksburg. This summer marks the 26th year of this cultural and entertaining festival for the Virginia Tech Campus and the New River Valley.

Admission to all events is free.

In case of rain, the concert will be moved inside to the Old Dominion Ballroom located at the Squires Student Center.

Henderson Lawn is located at the corner of Main Street and College Avenue in downtown Blacksburg, VA.
