The City of Radford's presents America's 250th Independence Day Celebration on Friday, July 3, 2026 at Bisset Park.

Event Schedule:
• 4:00-5:00 PM: Patriotic Dog Show
• 4:00-6:00 PM: Music by DJ J Scott Freeman from WBRF 98.1 FM
• 4:00-8:00 PM: Inflatables and Climbing Wall
• 6:00 PM: Welcome from Mayor David Horton
• 6:15 PM: National Anthem by The Glorylanders
• 6:30 PM: K-9 Demonstration
• 7:00 PM: The Domino Band in Concert
• ~9:30 PM: Fireworks

Celebrate America's 250th Celebration in Radford! There will be fireworks, live music, patriotic dog show, vendors, food trucks, bouncy houses & fun games for children. There will also be free event t-shirts while supplies last.

Live music will be provided by The Domino Band with the national anthem performed by The Glorylanders along with DJ J. Scott Freeman.

The Domino Band is a high-energy horn band based in Roanoke, Virginia, specializing in classic R&B, Soul, and Old-School Funk! The Domino Band is all about preserving the classic soul, R&B, and funk sounds of yesterday, updated with their own flavors of today. If you enjoy Al Green, Tower of Power, Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Gaye, Kool and the Gang, and other R&B-influenced artists of the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s and today, you'll love The Domino Band.

Domino has backed the legendary Percy Sledge and opened for Delbert McClinton, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductees The Impressions, and country music superstars Tracy Byrd, Trace Adkins, Trick Pony, Diamond Rio, Tracy Lawrence, and Blake Shelton.

Domino members have performed or recorded with The Stylistics, Sister Sledge, the Temptations, members of Tower of Power, Chicago, the Doobie Brothers, Santana, The Headhunters and more.

The Glorylanders are an all-male acapella group based in the New River Valley. This group is in high demand sharing God’s blessings throughout the eastern United States.

Fireworks will start around 9:30 PM.

The Patriotic Dog Show will feature three contest: the Most Patriotic Dog Costume, Most Patriotic Owner and Most Historical Patriotic Dog Costume. There is no pre-registration. Dogs and their owners just show up before 4:00 PM at the event and enter the contest.

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Bring your chairs and/or blankets.

Note: Shuttle buses will only run until 6:30 PM. If you ride the bus to the park to watch the fireworks, there will be no return buses so please plan ahead.

Bisset Park is located at 49 Berkley Williams Drive in Radford, VA.
