Description:
The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech continues their Wednesday Walk or Talk Series titled "Biological Control of the Invasive Tree-of-Heaven" on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.

Join us for our Wednesday Walk or Talk series with Rachel Brooks, PhD Student and Interfaces of Global Change Fellow. She will talk about her research on the biological control of the invasive tree-of-heaven (Ailanthus altissima).

The tree-of-heaven is an invasive Chinese tree that has taken over much of the Virginia landscape. Current control options are limited, but biological control has been researched for decades. Where do we stand and is the end in sight?

This talk is free and open to the public.

All Wednesday Walk or Talks start at 12:00 pm and will meet at the pavilion. A visitor pass is required to park in the Hahn Garden visitor lot. Come early to grab a pass from the Hahn Garden staff and find a place to park before the talk begins.
