The Radford University College of Visual & Performing Arts presents a virtual performance of the classical comedy "The Liar" with performances starting on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 through Sunday, April 11, 2021 streamed live from Pridemore Playhouse on the campus of Radford University.

"The Liar", written by David Ives, follows an irresistible, charming young man named Dorante who comes to Paris to enjoy some fun and frivolity after completing his law studies. He meets and falls in love with the beautiful Clarice. There are just a few problems…Clarice is secretly engaged to Dorante’s friend, Alcippe! And Dorante’s companion, Cliton, misconstrues Clarice’s name, and thinks she is Lucrece! And Cliton is an irrepressible truth-teller, while Dorante is an incurable liar! Based on a French comedy by Pierre Corneille, "The Liar" is a mischievous romp of love, lies, wordplay, and swordplay.

Tickets for the general public are $10.00, seniors ages 55 & up are $6.00, Radford University students are free and Radford University Faculty & Staff are $6.00.
