The National Weather Service Office presents their 2018 Open House on Saturday, October 20, 2018 any time between 10:00 am until 3:000 pm.
Join us at the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, VA for a tour of the facility and learn how the weather affects our region and what tools we use to observe, forecast, and communicate the weather.
The guided tour will last roughly an hour (the last tour group will start at 3:00 pm), and while there could be some initial wait time after you arrive and sign up, there will be other activities and displays outside to keep you occupied during any wait time.

• Child-Friendly Weather Activities and Games
• Virginia Department of Transportation Snow Plow
• Virginia Department of Emergency Management communications Trailer

This is a free event and suitable for the entire family.
