In conjunction with the 43rd Annual Wilderness Trail Festival, the Big Green Egg Cookoff - Smokin in the Mountains will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 10 am - 4 pm in downtown Christiansburg, Va.
Note: The festival was originally scheduled to end at 7 pm however the organuzers decided to close at 4 pm.
The Big Green Egg CookOff Competition is an event dedicated to the Big Green Egg grill. Whether you own an Egg or just want to sample some unique new tastes from slow-cooked BBQ to baked goods then the Eggfest is for you.
The competition will feature many experienced Egg cooks showcasing their skills and talents and competing for prizes as well as a stage of live entertainment from 12-7 pm and a beer garden.
Judges will select the best BBQ and the crowd will determine the People's Choice.
The Entertainment Line-Up includes:
• Neal Wyms
• Bob Chew and Chris performing Classic Honkeytonk
• Howlin' Mudbellies
• Swingfest
• Dirt Road Kings
Admission is free. Participating in the tastings may incur a charge to be determined.
