Alexander Black House & Cultural Center presents their Holiday Open House on Saturday, December 5, 2015.
The Alexander Black House & Cultural Center will be dressed for the holidays! Enjoy live music and refreshments while you walk around the house decorated in traditional Victorian Style. Look for our special ‘History Of Victorian Christmas’ exhibit in Alexander’s Bedroom.
Be sure to visit the Gift Shop when looking for unique and locally inspired Christmas gifts.
‘Harps in the House’ the Southwest Virginia Harp Society, featuring music from junior society students and local harpists, will be playing Holiday Music throughout the day.
At 1:00 pm, enjoy ‘A Christmas Story’ lecture from sculptor and storyteller Larry Bechtel, who will discuss his Nativity Sculpture display entitled ‘A Christmas Story’.
