The Christiansburg Recreation Department presents the 8 Mile Bridge Challenge Walk on Saturday, September 12, 2015 starting at the Christiansburg Rec Center.
To celebrate the opening of the Renva W. Knowles Bridge over Route 114, the Christiansburg Rec Department has created the 8 Mile Bridge Challenge Walk. The walk will cover the entire length of the Huckleberry Trail from the Blacksburg Library to the Christiansburg Rec Center.
Schedule:
• 8:00 am - Check-In begins
• 8:30 am - Buses leave from Christiansburg Rec Center to Blacksburg Library
Participants will park at the Rec Center and at 8:30 am will be bused to the Blacksburg Library to begin the Walk. Their will be water stops along the way and rescue personnel will be available.
Registration is open to the first 70 participants so be sure to secure your spot in advance by completing the registration form and returning it to the Christiansburg Rec Department. All participants will receive a free t-shirt.

Admission is free. The event is rain or shine.
Please bring your own water bottle in addition to the water stations along the trail.
Those ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
The walk is expected to last 2.5-3 hours.
