NOTE: Due to the inclement weather tonight's concert has been moved to Commonwealth Ballroom inside of Squires Student Center on the Virginia Tech campus.

The Summer Arts Festival kicks off their 2015 Friday Night Out Concert series with Zedeco-a-Go-Go on Friday, June 5, 2015 on the Henderson Lawn.

Zydeco-a-Go-Go, the Mid-Atlantic’s premier practitioners of Louisiana dance music, are bringing the zydeco party to the people. Their motto is: “Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!” or “Let The Good Times Roll!” At the heart of any Zydeco-A-Go-Go song is the classic zydeco sound of accordion and frattoir (rubboard) augmented by saxophone, electric guitar, electric bass and drums.

Although based in Philadelphia, the group has garnered praise for its authentic Louisiana sound. When playing a gig at the legendary Rock & Bowl in New Orleans, they kept the crowded dance-floor busy, with lots of smiling faces everywhere.

And whether they're playing a large festival or a smalltown fair, a performing arts center or a block party: you know it's gonna be a wild and swingin' bayou boogaloo pitch-a-wang-dang-doodle-all-night-long zydeco dance party...with everybody singing "Let The Good Times Roll!"

Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, picnics, and families for a warm summer evening of music. All are welome!

In case of rain, the concert will be moved inside to the Old Dominion Ballroom located at the Squires Student Center. Rain announcement will be made at the link below.

With the joint efforts of Virginia Tech's School of Performing Arts and the Town of Blacksburg, the 2015 Summer Arts Festival's features live music, art exhibits, live theatre events, classic movies and summer festivals in downtown Blacksburg. This summer marks the 24th year of this cultural and entertaining festival for the Virginia Tech Campus and the New River Valley. Admission to all events is free.

Henderson Lawn is located at the corner of Main Street and College Avenue in downtown Blacksburg, VA.
