Virginia Tech's College of Agriculture and Life Sciences presents the program "Feeding a Growing World: A look at the Present State and Future of Agriculture" on Tuesday, March 17th in the Fralin Auditorium as part of their Black History Month Celebration.

Note: This program was originally scheduled for Wednesday, February 25th, but had to be rescheduled.

This Black History Month program features Virginia Tech alumnus Phil Haynie III, a fifth generation Black farmer who was recently recognized by The White House as a Champion of Change.

Mr. Haynie will discuss how the agricultural community will feed 9 billion people in 2050. Mr. Haynie will also discuss: his experiences as a Black farmer, precision agriculture, the need for scientists and engineers in agriculture, and how to use a Virginia Tech education to serve the world.

Refreshments will be provided!

The Fralin Institute is located at 360 West Campus Drive in Blacksburg, VA on the campus of Virginia Tech.
