The Little Bookworm presents a Science Saturday for All Ages on Saturday, February 28, 2026.

Did you know some plants can fly? Join us at The Little Bookworm Bookstore for a hands-on science adventure where kids will explore the amazing world of flying seeds and plant movement!

Hosted by Dr. David Schmale from Virginia Tech, this interactive program lets young scientists:
• See real winged seeds in action.
• Observe fascinating plant fossils.
• Design and test their own flying plants.
• Experiment with spins, shapes, and gentle landings

Plus, we’ll have a special selection of children’s books about seeds, nature, and plant journeys available in-store.

The event is free and no registration is required.
