Hacksburg presents the workshop titled "Laser 101: Valentine's Edition" on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

This workshop covers the Hacksburg 80W CO2 laser cutter. Basic laser safety, design guidelines, and examples will be presented. Attendees will learn how to make their own edge-lit acrylic sign and receive the LED base with the optional materials fee.

The class is free for Hacksburg members and $5.00 for non-members. There is also a $10.00 optional materials fee for all participants.

This class is for attendees ages 14 and up. If you are bringing an attendee under 18, you (the parent/guardian) must stay for the entire duration of the class and approve all shop tool use.

Hacksburg is located at 1872 Pratt Drive, Suite 1620 in Blacksburg, VA within the Virginia Tech Corporate Research Center. Enter through the covered double doors at the back of the building.
