New River Land Trust presents the 2026 Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at the Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech.

The Banff Tour brings the best outdoor and adventure films of the year to the big screen with exciting stories about outdoor adventure sports and much more.

Banff Centre Mountain Film and Book Festival is one of the largest and most prestigious mountain festivals in the world with over 400 entries submitted to the festival each year! Hot on the heels of the festival held every fall in beautiful Banff, Alberta, the Banff Mountain Film Festival World Tour hits the road. Each year, some of the best films from the Banff Film Festival go on a world tour.

They'll make a stop in Blacksburg again this year, presented by the New River Land Trust. This will be their 10th year hosting the films! Net proceeds from the event will benefit the conservation work of the Land Trust. Every ticket helps protect the farms, forests, open spaces and historic places in our community and region.

General admission is $18.00 and VIP seats are $23.00.

The New River Land Trust works to conserve farmland, forests, open spaces, and historic places in the New River region of Southwest Virginia. Since 2002, we have helped protect over 56,000 acres of land in the region and over 26 miles of New River frontage. We also work with partners on larger public access projects, such as the Brush Mountain Trails Project in Blacksburg.

Doors open at 6:00 PM and the films start at 7:00 PM.
