Blacksburg Wine Lab continues their Think & Drink series with "A Love Letter to Dahlias" on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Join local Master Gardener and dahlia enthusiast Katie Keciorius for a flower-filled hour dedicated to one of the most dramatic and rewarding blooms in the garden, the dahlia!
With a glass of wine in hand, we’ll dig into what makes dahlias so captivating, from their stunning range of colors and forms to why they’ve become a favorite of gardeners, florists, and wedding designers alike. She'll share approachable tips on growing dahlias successfully in our region, including planting, care, cutting for arrangements, and overwintering tubers. Expect personal insights, real world lessons learned, and plenty of eye candy inspiration along the way.
Whether you’re a seasoned gardener, a curious beginner, or someone who just loves beautiful flowers and good wine, this talk is designed to be informative, approachable, and fun. No green thumb required, just curiosity.
