The Floyd Country Store presents the second show of The Floyd Radio Show Season 13 featuring Erin Lunsford & The New Ballards Branch Bogtrotters on Saturday, December 6, 2025.

Join host Kelley Breiding for an evening of comedy skits, commercials, stories and great music featuring special musical guests Erin Lunsford and The New Ballards Branch Bogtrotters.

About 25 years ago a group of musicians from the Galax, VA area formed a new band. The New Ballards Branch Bogtrotters took their name, in part from the original Bogtrotters of the 1930's also because band leader Dennis Hall lives on Ballards Branch. They won the very first fiddlers Convention in Galax setting a precedence for all that follow in their footsteps.

The New Ballard's Branch Bogtrotters continue to play in the traditional Appalachian string-band style often playing for square dances around the region. Old time music is alive and well, and continues to attract fans of all ages. The New Ballards Branch Bogtrotters remain a driving force in carrying the traditional music of the Virginia/Carolina Blue Ridge into the new millennium. It is our hope to be an inspiration for future generations of mountain musicians!

Erin Lunsford is an award-winning singer/songwriter from Fincastle, VA, and based in Richmond, VA. In 2024, Lunsford was a semi-finalist in the Songwriters Guild of America Country Song Contest for her song "Rhinestones". Her compositions include self-styled guitar, banjo, and keyboard melodies. She is best known as the frontwoman, lead vocalist, and lyricist of the touring indie-pop/soul band Erin & The Wildfire. Her vocals have been described as soulful, expressive, and powerful, and her effortless versatility has been compared to Chris Stapleton, Eva Cassidy, and Susan Tedeschi.

Erin & The Wildfire is a Charlottesville-based band that has been steadily carving out a reputation for themselves in recent years as one of the most captivating live acts to come out of Central Virginia since their formation in 2012. Fronted by powerhouse vocalist and Fincastle native Erin Lunsford, the band has been making waves throughout Virginia stirring up their unique sonic melting pot of rock, soul, funk, and blues.

The group's striking sound, goofy charm, and relentless work ethic has propelled them to some of the Commonwealth's biggest stages, including a main stage spot at 2014's Lockn Festival, three appearances at Floydfest 2015, and back-to-back performances at the 2014 and 2015 Festy Experience.

The Floyd Radio Show is an old-timey variety show with original radio plays, comedy bits, ads, jingles, music and more, hosted by Kelley Breiding. Celebrating old time and traditional music with people and communities where music is played and enjoyed in its authentic and purest forms. The show is rooted in Floyd, VA where a musical and artistic community provides endless inspiration for the show, which appears live at the Floyd Country Store.

Tickets are $20.00 for general admission and $25.00 reserved seating.
