Virginia Tech will host the 12th Annual Virginia Tech Science Festival on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Center For the Arts and the Newman Library on the university’s Blacksburg, VA campus.
The free, public event celebrates science as a way of knowing through a family-friendly, expo-style format. With more than 55 hands-on exhibits, the festival draws between 2,000 and 5,000 visitors annually, including families, local school groups, and Virginia Tech students.
This year’s exhibits will showcase innovations in artificial intelligence, drones, robotics, astronomy, physics, and virtual reality, among other topics. Most activities are geared toward elementary and middle school students, though younger children will also find engaging experiences.
The event is free and open to the public.
Organized by the Center for Educational Networks and Impacts in collaboration with Virginia Tech’s colleges, research institutes, and community partners, the festival aims to make science and research accessible and inspiring for learners of all ages.
Parking will be available in the North End Garage and other campus lots. If nearby spaces are full, attendees are encouraged to park near Lane Stadium and walk or use free public transportation to reach the event.
