Schedule of Events:
• 3:00-6:00 PM: Trick or Treating at Participating Downtown Blacksburg Merchants
• 3:00-6:00 PM: Halloween Games & Activities on Draper Road and College Avenue with Blacksburg Parks & Rec
• 3:00 PM: Spooky Storytime at The Little Bookworm
• 4:00-7:00 PM: Boograss on the Draper Sidewalk Stage with Virginia Hollow
• 4:00-7:00 PM: Roaming Street Performing Performances
• 5:00 PM: Dog Costume Contest on College Avenue at Parks & Rec Tent
• 5:30 PM: Costume Contest on Henderson Lawn Stage

Enjoy candy, games and prizes with 16 Blocks of Candy! Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Blacksburg with your favorite Downtown Blacksburg Merchants! Blacksburg Parks and Recreation will have Halloween games and activities on Draper Road and College Avenue. The Annual Costume Contest will be held at 5:30 PM on the Henderson Lawn Stage featuring five age groups and multiple categories. This year there will also be a Dog Costume Contest at 5:00 PM at the Parks & Rec Tent on College Avenue.

The Costume Contest will feature the following age groups:
• Ages 0-5
• Ages 6-10
• Ages 11-15
• Ages 16-21
• Ages 21 & Up

Costume Contest Categories:
• Most Creative Costume
• Funniest Costume
• Best DIY Costume
• Best Group Ensemble (Any ages)

Virginia Hollow will perform live music from 4:00-7:00 PM on the Draper Sidewalk Stage.

Virginia Hollow is a mixture of Americana, bluegrass, country, indie and rock. A singer-songwriter band that performs songs written by lead singer Carrie Hinkley, along with an occasional handpicked cover or two.

Virginia Hollow is a band and a sound born from the hills, valleys and mountains of Appalachia. Their performances and music take you on a journey fraught with raw emotions and stories of love, trust, betrayal and longing. When all is said and done, the haunting melodies of Carrie Hinkley's soulful voice are hard to shake off and instead keep returning and replaying in one's mind, like an untamed mantra of beauty and tragedy. This is a band whose time has come and needs to be reckoned with.

Wandering street performer Jefferson Rose will be performing throughout the event from 3:00-6:00 PM.
