Silhouette Magazine presents a Battle of the Bands Fundraising Event with Costume Contest on Monday, October 13, 2025 at The Milk Parlor.

Dress up, show out and vote for your favorite band!

Velvet Colored Glasses is a six member band from Blacksburg, VA featuring a saxophone and keyboard.

There will be an optional costume contest for attendees. Come dressed as cowboy or alien.

The cover is $5.00 for those ages 21 & up and $7.00 for those under 21.

Silhouette is a semi-annual, student-run publication for undergraduate and graduate work from Virginia Tech students in the areas of poetry, prose, photography, art and all things creative. The Silhouette focuses on fostering and encouraging creative expression within the Virginia Tech community.
