The Pearisburg Merchants Association presents the 10th Annual Pearisburg Scarecrow Festival on Saturday, October 4, 2025 on Wenonah Avenue and Tazewell Streets in downtown Pearisburg, VA.

Event Schedule:
• 10:00 AM: Welcome from Mayor and Jordyn Mills
• 10:30 AM: Fashion Show by Giles Christian Mission
• 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM: Touch a Truck on Tazewell Street
• 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM: Spook Out Cancer Car Show on Wenonah Avenue
• 11:15 AM: Jonah Carden in Concert
• 12:30 PM: Daniel Davis in Concert
• 1:30 PM: Costume Contest for 12 & Under
• 2:00 PM: Crystal River Band in Concert
• 3:30 PM: Closing Ceremony

Join us for our annual Pearisburg Scarecrow Festival where our merchants and community come together to provide a day of family fun!

This fun, family friendly, fall festival features one of kind scarecrow displays on exhibit, food vendors including Scoops, Sugar + Flour, Happy Hog and Papa's Pizza, shopping, family games on the Giles County Courthouse Lawn, entertainment, Spook Out Cancer Car Show, face painting by Narrows High Theatre Department and character appearances from Giles and Narrows High School Theatre Departments and more!

Entertainment begins at 11:15 AM with Jonah Carden, Daniel Davis at 12:30 PM and closes with the Crystal River Band at 2:00 PM.

Crystal River Band is a band based in Southwest Virginia.

Jonah Carden is a acoustic blues rock musician from the small town of Peterstown, West Virginia. He first began performing live years ago at the age of 12.

Since then, Jonah has performed hundreds of shows, both as solo acoustic act and with various rock bands. In addition to his solo work, Jonah currently plays with the rock cover band One Eyed Jack, a band he formed with father in 2008 and is a member of Southern Flame. Jonah has released two solo albums, most recently "Last Train Home." The new album is a good representation of Jonah's broad musical taste. Elements of blues, rock, folk, jazz, grunge and metal all blended together to form an exciting new sound.

The Spook Out Cancer Car Show is open to all cars with dash plaques given out to the first 25 vehicles registered. The registration fee is $20.00 per vehicle. Registration is open from 10:00-11:00 AM and the show begins at 11:00 AM. The public will vote on their favorite rides and trophies will be awarded for each category. Halloween decorations are encouraged, but not required. Prizes and awards will be handed out at 2:00 PM. There will also be raffles, bake sale and t-shirts available for purchase. Proceeds from the car show benefit The Arthur "Peewee" Conley Memorial Scholarship.

Make sure to walk around downtown to see the featured guests, the scarecrows, created by local businesses, organizations and groups, that will be displayed throughout downtown Pearisburg.

Admission is free and all are welcome. Some activities have an additional charges.

Parking is available on the street or in parking lots off Tazewell Street and Mountain Lake Avenue.
